Who writes here

Sophie De Clercq has watched what is licensed in Belgium since 2022 and tries everything first-hand paying particular attention to support and limits. Works from Brugge.

How we test. we walk through registration ourselves, put an amount in via Bancontact, pull the money out and time the whole route. We check the operator against the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and read the bonus terms line by line.

Our income comes from affiliate commissions; it has no effect on the content of the review. An operator without a Belgian licence is described as such, commission or not.

Player protection in numbers

The Belgian framework around player protection is above the European average in strictness which feeds straight into your play limit. By default €200 per week per site may go in. A lower limit takes effect directly, raising happens neither easily nor instantly.

The EPIS system is the regulator's central exclusion list: after registration no licensed operator grants you access. The entry point is the Gaming Commission. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; scratch cards and Lotto stay at 18. The check is automatic.
